I know when i saw the list of the horses i was kinda excited b/c like the above poster said these are some horses that i can remember seeing race before. Should at least be a good betting race b/c aren't they all about the same talent level?

This is a great race. You get the last two Blue Grass winners facing off with the defending champ of the race. Add to the mix last year's Lane's End winner and Grasshopper who still always takes money off his Travers loss two years ago. All of the above will take action. Any could win. I like Parading who should be overlooked to take it all.

Its interesting that Polytrack (and synthetics) in general have given the Phipps bloodlines at least a modest revival in the last couple of years.
There hasn't been this much reason for the Phipps fanclub to come out of the woodworks for a while now. Kudos to McGaughey for not being too stubborn to put his horses on the turf/synthetics. Of course, the alternative would have been claiming races... |
