the guy's won't appreciate his comment either about his band aid swing and how he almost won the tournament

when angel beat him at the us open a couple of years ago he had every opportunity to beat him that day without a band aid swing or knee issue and couldn't get by him then , why should we believe it would have been any different yesterday?

I'm pretty sure Angel will feel comfortable talking sh*t to Tiger when he wins 12 more majors

Seems too happy-go-lucky to even care.
Its nice to see a guy so laid back.

All in all though it looked like everyone struggled
mightly at the end. Tiger and Phil made huge comebacks
and then hit a wall. Angel C. hit so many bad shots.
He might have been able to win going away if he
would have hit a few greens in regulation.

I would not consider this one of the classic wins
would you kev? Seemed like a big fat struggle not
to choke.

again kev you're missing the point , he wins the us open last year on a bad knee , guts it out vs rocco in a 90 hole marathon , great win , great performance , praises rocco , rocco praises him

now he shows up to the masters gives it his best shot as he always does and he comes out with a "bad aid comment" as though to imply if all systems were go he would have taken this thing down as business as usual ... well i ain't so sure , he was 100% all out with the whip against Angel in the '07 open and couldn't get by him then , are we to take from tiger's comments that he would have blown right by these guys if he had his "A" swing

you been out on tour , you been around the game , you know how hard it is to win regular events , let alone majors , for cbs to show that "band aid" comment when the other guys were out there fighting for a major was terrible

does angel only get half a green jacket cause tiger had a band aid swing on sunday ?- gimme a break

Dont you think Tiger has proven that when he has his "A" swing that he is head and shoulders above the rest?

i ain't saying he's not the best player when they all have their "A" games

but

they all always don't have their "A" games every week (tiger included) and you know that

and maybe now we are seeing that unless he has his "A" game he ain't going to win all the time , unlike 5 or 10 years ago

his comments about a "band aid" are meant to imply to everyone that there was an excuse for why he didn't win and cbs didn't need to show that , it was a dis-respect to the guys that were still out there fighting

you have been out there , you probably know some of the guys still out there , do you think the comments were appreciated in the locker room?

of the 3 guys that made the playoff , do you honestly believe any of them played their best on sunday either?

I don't think Tiger mean't it in a way of demeaning Cabrera's win yesterday, if anyone else said that, it wouldn't even make press. He wins on one leg last year and I know people were saying he was embellishing his injury until they found out the next day he was out for the rest of the year. He's always under a microscope and for what he has to deal with I think he's doing pretty well for himself. What I do know about him is he is far more respected by his peers than Phil is. A guy I work with knows someone who's in the lockeroom on tour and they have said as much. I don't think it's an untruth to say if Tiger is on his A game, it would take a hell of rd x 4 to beat him. The band aid comment is probably true, Phil was outdriving him on almost every hole, he's been out for almost a year, it was his short game and will/heart/smarts that got him to -8, even if you are not a fan of his, you have to respect what he did yesterday.

phil outdriving him means absolutley nothing , he reached all the par 5's in 2 mostly with irons

i just think that while the tournament is on cbs doesn't have to show tiger telling america that he didn't win because his swing was off this week , it ain't right for the guys still out there fighting to win

I guess he could have said I didn't really have it this week, which basically is saying I don't have my A game. I understand where you are coming from but I don't see how his comment was disrespectful in any way.
