I have no clue if he was using or not but would it really shock anyone? And if so, cause the guy tried to lengthen his career should that really tarnish everything he accomplished up until then?

I'd say one year of fishy batting average is a little different than a guy obliterating the celebrated single-season home run record while looking like a freaking veiny blimp.
