The Point Given gelding name has received the final word Simon seal of approval, and will be RUN BURGUNDY. Congrats and thanks to Danzig for the inspiration on the name.

In addition, ELLO ELLE, ("LOL") which emerged out of no where from Bigs and is terrific, will be used on the 2yo Northern Afleet filly, (or possibly the NY bred yearling filly). Thanks to Mike.
We'll be back with more thoughts on the Smarty Jones colts... One has a working name already, but we may use Antitrust's popular REDBOARD on the other...

it's a great name, nice take on the LOL.
can't believe i had a hand in naming a racehorse, that's amazing.

Steve -- I like the Run Burgundy name.

Maybe we need a Chianti variant in the future? LOL...

Yeah Ello Elle is so cute. I got to name a Skip Away colt once--well sort of. There was an expression I still love and want to hold on to in case the JC would still let me use it but the person who bred the colt decided to make it singular instead of plural, which I get, but it makes less sense since it relates to old time sailing and exploration. It's a very specific term. Oh well, the lil bugger's 4 now and adorable. I was still proud.

This won't influence your handicapping decision for his debut, will it?

Any of us here would do it(up to a certain point).

You'll want the ticket voucher, and you should be there for the picture in the winner's circle following the race

Yay, 'Zig!

Hey, can we please have the obligatory photo of Ron Burgandy posted?

Nope, Caroline Kennedy used so many "like"s and "you know"s the other day that I'm pretty sure she's still saying her sentence. I will triumph one day though, never fear.
