I'm like you in this regard: I root against everyone in the Steelers division and anyone they have a percieved rivalry with (Patriots, cowboys raiders,etc..) I'm a Philly Flyer fan, therefore I root against the Penguins which makes me wildly popular in my hometown. I agree with DDTide and Bigs in the fact that the sports are still great no matter who is playing and if an attractive sporting event comes to town, I will go with friends or family.

I have no baseball rooting interest since Pittsburgh lost its MLB team in 1992.
