It's not that far fetched of a scenario. They are only one game up in the division and stilll have two games left against division opponents.(those games can go either way) The two wildcard teams as of now, Indy and Baltimore have identical records as teh Jets. (8-4) Not to mention Indy's super soft next two games (Cincy and Detroit) before they close out with Jags and TENN, who may very well be in shut down mode by then. Baltimore seems to have a tougher road ahead facing Wash, Pitt, Dallas, and the now lowly Jags.

If Miami were to win against the Jets in teh finale, it would not be a stretch to have the Fins atop the division. (Their next three games are against the Bills, 49ers, and KC.) It is wide open and there is a possibility (and im not saying a strong one) that NYJ can miss the postseason, this after having strung together a few quality wins in the recent weeks.

And their last 3 losses have come against some of the poorer competition in the AFC. They let Denver come into their house and smack them around, and that Oakland debacle was an eyesore. All of this said, they would still handily beat the team that I root for. I'm just sick of all this 'subway series SB' that I hear the shortbussed know-nothings spew at work.
