I have a hard time believing Heart Ashley regressed a point off her maiden win.

She finished 2nd in her debut with a 75 beyer, i think they just 'paired her up'.

Ran a 6 Thoro in that debut.

They are absolutely better than this year's 3yo crop was at this point last year, not even debatable.

I think they adjusted phil. Ive got her at 77 first start, 76 second, and that just seems tough to me. I cannot imagine her regressin and the track was pretty dead on Saturday at CHD. I thought she would surely move forward.

Agree- and she looked awfully good doing it. It was a pretty bad group though relative to the rest of the card.

Phil

Am I hallucinating or did Ramon die and go to jock heaven over the weekend with Old Fashion, Court Vision and Cocoa Beach in a 24 hour period on two coasts?

Wonder how long Ramon keeps that mount on OF on the derby trail....

Sorry about WB as I know he was a fav of yours.....

How bad are our horses when the Cigar is won with a 106 and the Clark with a 101? Are they really barely better the 2yo's that won the Remsen and the Golden Rod? Things are even worse than I thought.

well how about the Matriarch, the defining race of the year at a mile for grass fillies, won by a horse who's only loss is to Zenyatta, and the best they could muster was a 96!

Yeah, that was not great but it was a turf race and turf numbers have always been pretty meaningless to me.

I think you can throw synthetic racing in as well.
