If it was on synth.....Zenyatta probably would win....NK might win

If it was on dirt....Rags would win

If it was on turf....NK is the only one with experience on turf so she'd probably win

No. I think my analysis is reasonable. I believe on dirt, Kentucky Oaks and Belmont wins are more impressive than Apple Blossom versus one good horse.

On synth, Zenyatta would beat her, not because Zenyatta moves up, but because everyone else seems to move down on those surfaces. But nothing is for certain.

but...zenyatta has wins on multiple surfaces, while rags does not. of course rags wasn't able to run much past her belmont score, so who knows what might have been? but i'd say a horse who has a 9 start, 9 win streak, on two surfaces is nothing to sneeze at. and i don't think rags could beat her in a match up. of course, that's pure speculation.
zenyatta beat a deep field in the bc distaff. regardless of the surface she was on, she ran a heck of a race-and it certainly wasn't just dirt horses in there against her.

Zenyatta might of had a shot to win the classic this year. Nashoba's Key , nice hoss, but not in the same class as Zenyatta.

Not sure if she could have won the classic this year. If she did run she would have had to run her best race ever.

Agree, but Zenyatta has never failed.

It would have been nice to see Nashobas Key, Zenyatta and Eight Belles run in the ladies classic this year but some things were not meant to be. Those were the three best fillies we had this year.

I think she was better at the time she went down. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing if she would have improved as the year went on and become a very good horse or whether she was already peaking and would have allowed the other two to catch up to (or pass) her.

Zenyatta romped.

Then after you were questioning where she would have finished in the Classic. Now you say Zenyatta dodged Nashoba's Key. It just seems like a grudge of some sort. Of course this whole thread is an opinion thing, so it's useless for me to argue one way or the other about who would win a fantasy race. It just seems like you refuse to give this horse her due, but then you argue Casino Drive's merits. Maybe it's me....
Okay I agree. Zenyatta stepped it up in the Distaff. Carriage Trail is a synth specialist. Music Note and Cocoa Beach both ran as well as they usually run. Zenyatta does deserve all this attention and has accomplished a great deal in her short career.

Maybe I'm just tired of hearing of Zenyatta. I hope there is a horse out there next year who will push her to her absolute limit. It's like Tiger Woods winning every golf tournament. We all concede he is great. But maybe it would be more interesting if Tiger had some real competition...
