Very interesting. I would suggest giving more detail of the horses in question as on some computers (speed) it's very hard to distinguish cap color and location in the race. Slow motion is excellent used on first race. Arrows would be good.

Also, listing horses on screen at the end with name, trainer, and jock that day would make it easier to keep track and record info for future.

Otherwise very useful horse racing information.

Thanks Andy

Adding text and graphics (arrows and such) to video is pretty easy, once you have some familiarity with it.

There are tons of programs out there that will do this.

www.videohelp.com for everything you conceivably want to know how to do with any form of video.

A lot of LAZY mofo's here. How about actually firing up a BETTER replay and watching the race again with the comments of the experts in mind?

Last thing these guys need is to be editing video. Should be enough that they're sharing some INVALUABLE information (and techniques).

Brilliant. So we should watch the show, memorize (or hire a personal stenographer) the transcript, then find or pay for replays of the same, RANDOM, races, and watch them all over again at a later time? Just so they don't have to go to the trouble to add in a John Maddenesque graphic scrawl? Sounds efficient and productive...

...like taking a dump at a public restroom, then waiting to wipe one's azz til they get home where there's better toilet paper...

Of course, I guess we can cut out the down time somewhat if we got our trusty trikes fired up...

Good idea.

I just watched part 1 and maybe I'm in the minority but I don't think it needs arrows, highlights, etc. Either way. The people who are watching this know where to look..... like I said though either way.

You looked suave. Good interaction, very natural, open and honest hand gestures. Sorry for being the visual type but if I'm distracted by something I find annoying, I'll tune out.

Well done, Mr. Serling. You have the official seal of approval from the pretty horsie squad.

Your dream come true, I'm sure...

So when the TV guy tells you to follow the number 1 horse, your instinct isn't to watch the horse that breaks from the rail, but rather whatever random post it drew(cuz number 1 was part of a coupling)? If you have those powers of foresight, you shouldn't even need to watch the finish.

Simply put, it needs highlights. Or a simple rundown of the field prior to the actual replay (which might be better because it could give the conditions of the race as well).

No dear one, I'm not saying I have these powers of foresight of which you speak. What I meant was that horseplayers in general are not idiots..... if someone is talking about a race none of us need dumbing down. I appreciated the simplicity of just showing the race(s).

Arrows / highlights are fine, they work. My point is only that it works either way. Just my opinion... you can tell me to stick it wherever you see fit.

GPK Sir? Damned right he looked suave.

You know, and I'm sure others here do too, that I was the one to nail Andy to a cross and rip him to shreds when I thought he wasn't visually as natural, well-dressed, well-spoken, etc as he is here.

Andy looked mahvalas. Deal with it.
