Horses often bounce in their 2nd race off a layoff, but not in a situation like this. The most common time that they will bounce is when they win their first race back and then come back in 2-3 weeks. When they give a huge effort in their first race off a layoff and then are not given enough time to recover, they will often bounce. Declan's Moon has had plenty of time to recover from his first race back. Not only that, they seem to bounce much more often when they win their first race back. When they run 2nd or 3rd, like DM, they usually improve in their 2nd race. So I agree with you and I would not expect DM to bounce.
