![]() For a camp that claimed they had a better horse than Curlin in every way they sure are going to unusual lengths to avoid him.

![]() no better way to prove that your horse is the best then to run him in the storied Monmouth Stakes.

What's the deal with the purse jumping from 200K to half a million if Big Brown shows up. Talk about Tiger Woodslike appearance fees. How often have you seen a purse go up 1.5 times the original value for getting in the gate in this country. And why there? Wouldn't it make more sense to try and run at least one race on poly if you are even remotely interested in conquering the Classic? |

Than you can't say your the best if you have to duck the Breeders Cup completely or the Classic specifically. What's BB gonna do that weekend??....if they take to the green they'll find a little different gathering than a Saratoga MSW. They can say what they want but BB's last was far from the efforts in Ky and Fla. The connections want to be crowned but don't have a king who wants to earn it. They gain nothing running in Jersey but the purse....respect is about winning BIG races not earnings. I'm surprised the connections don't get to fill the field with hand picked claimers so BB doesn't crack a sweat. |

![]() If he wants the Brown horse, he knows where to find him come mid september.
I just dont understand how Jackson gets a pass for ducking the BCC and Big Brown's connections get hell for wanting to wait until the championship for a showdown. |

![]() It seems to me they have nothing to lose, and everything to gain, by running against Curlin. I don't think BB would win, but If he did beat Curlin....

![]() Big Brown is nothing more than an overrated 3yr old that was beating the absolutely worst crop of 3yr olds in decades. Horses that were winning Derby preps and running in the derby are now getting trounced by slow NY breds.
I would love nothing more than to see Mambo in Seattle tear off wins in the Travers, Goodwood, and BCC and take the 3yr old eclipse and HOY away from Big Brown. Being a Kingmambo he has a shot. Although the O'Briens Kingmambo is probably going to romp in the Classic. |
