i've never been that high on curlin. i think, like big brown, he's benefitting from a total lack of competition. but he'd still eat a big brown-ie for lunch.
i remember when bud delp used to ruffle feathers when he spoke of spectacular bid. 'best horse to look through a bridle'. a lot of people took umbrage at him being so brazen. but who could argue with bud delp now? (Ok, nobody since he's now resting in peace, but you get my point). easy to say tho for dutrow, that he could beat curlin. as long as he stays in the 3 yo R ranks, he won't have to worry about proving it, will he?? i will laugh, maniacally, if somehow, some way, zenyatta goes in the classic and big brown manages to be there-and zenyatta wins. oh, the humanity! hell, i'm laughing right now just imagining it.

The filly crack he made is pretty cute.
I think my retort would have been that BB hasn't faced a colt half as good as the filly that beat Curlin was.
