There is no argument?

Oh, OK ... but you will let us know when we can disagree ... won't you?

Showing Up is the most accomplished 3YO turf horse so far ... but whether or not he is the "best" ... remains to be seen. Some people may argue ... gasp! argue? dare they? ... that After Market is more talented than Showing Up ... and will prove to be the better of the two by year's end.

But ... then again ... we've been told that there is no argument.

The two races ... the Million and the Secretariat ... were about as different as races can be.

The Tin Man just loped along for 6f ... then sprinted the last half in :46 flat.

Showing Up ran a more even pace throughout ... and came home in :49.1.

Both races ... in their own way ... were very impressive ... as the horses did exactly what their jockeys wanted them to.

There are almost as many ways to win a race ... as there are to lose ... and these two fine performances really demonstrated that.

Coming from you this is comical. When they asked Cornelio, the jockey of both, he said Showing Up is a superhorse and After Market is a nice horse but lacks the explosiveness and class of Showing Up. After Market is targeting a 4yr old season. He is likely to never face older horses this year. Just one race back After Market nearly took out the entire field. Maybe next year.

What's comical is ... that you aren't aware of the most established truism in thoroughbred racing ... namely ...

... that the best place to clean up as a bookie ... is in the jockey's quarters.

Yup ... Cornelio Velazquez (!) is the supreme authority on thoroughbred quality. Now that's funny!
