i guess he thought saying i've been set up ( bitch set me up~marion berry) was better than the 'do you think i'm stupid?' defense.

I would be interested to know what the level of clenbuterol was found. If it is a just a touch over the level allowed it would be hard to make a case that this was a set up.

and that's probably all it was--horse was given it too soon prior to the race, didn't metabolize it all, and tested positive.

no, that can't be it. it's obviously a huge conspiracy.

You wouldn't know a betting coup if you were part of it...Obviously it's a faulty test!

I don't know man, I still think PETA scored out.

They have the really good stuff when it comes to hopping horses.

It would be also interesting to find out what sample(s) tested positive, urine, blood, or both.

Unless it was already stated elsewhere...

Like Steve said earlier it is pretty surprising that Delaware came up with a bad test in the first place. Despite the rhetoric from the commission, everybody knows it is pretty "liberal" there.

I dont think it is real hard to find clenbuterol

A positive in the blood versus the urine would shed light on the timing of administration. If it was only found in the urine, and not the blood, then Jim Squire's cry of "sabotage" would lose a lot of steam.

I think Scott Lake had a clenbuterol positive in Delaware, too, not too long ago, by the way, not that that means the state isn't "liberal" like you said.

I dont know if the sabotage train has even left the station. Maybe he believes someone got to jess jacksons horse in the 1st at CD today to make him look bad too.

Maybe thats the only thing they test for?

Larry Jones is one of my favorite trainers. I am not saying that he and a few others have a medication edge at Delaware park. Im just defending my man Marion Barry. C'mon he was put into an unfair situation. Nobody is perfect.

Default all jokes and i told u so's aside

Seriously though, he is a great horseman. His wife? really does a nice job as well with the horses. She is there talking to them, and you can tell they have a hands on approach with their best stock. It isn't just a stern "push a horse HARD" atmosphere, they have some emotional involvement. Larry is one of the better at working a horse before a race. If there is any weakness in his game it's getting jockeys that suit his horses styles. I am not a GAbe Saez expert, except that he gets the job done when he has the most horse which is a pretty good trait to have.

Everybody cheats Dahoss... Everybody except the trainers who have no budget and limited brains.. If they didn't all cheat none of them would ever win.. Sad but true... The issues are who has the new stuff that is undetectable and costs thousands because it is so exclusive. The stuff Jerkins is using or stuff that Pletcher is looking for, its a sad state when the best trainers are the folks with the best connections, not with the best skills.

I just hope things work out. He has been a real boost to the Oaklawn meet. I know many of you don't even recognize that but Larry has made a real difference for us fans. Eight Belles, may she RIP, was something to watch. He has broght a lot to the table and I hope things work out for him.
