Why didn't you think he could?
He had the best form in the race, he was the highest rated and this season he has finished runner up to probably the best miler in europe (perhaps the world this year). How on earth he was allowed to touch 13/2 on track is beyond me. If he hadn't have run in the Irish 2,000 Guineas, what price would he have been? I'm guessing about 2/1, maybe shorter than that. He hated the firm ground in Ireland, and that was visible from watching it, but he still finished 2nd in a classic - that is what many people seemingly forgot. Over the moon for this fella, not to happy about Bolger winning it, but I can't have the best of both worlds. Well done New Approach.
