A 2f baby race in April should not be used as an example when you are comparing the handle from year to year. I don't think any horseplayer bets his/her "normal" amount in a 2f race of first time starters.

No problem, 2nd race open claimers $8,000 not much different. 9k for the mutual pool. Other pools similar.
