Delmer 'Red' Carroll was a legendary Maryland horsemen and one of America's greatest polo players ever. His son is Del Carroll II of NY training reknown. Red Carroll was famous for working with rogue horses and Sportin Life was as evil and dangerous a horse as has ever been on a racetrack.
