![]() I have no confidence in Premium Tap this year.
The only thing I can say in terms of a threat to Curlin is that I would not totally discount Vermilions chances. I realize he threw a clunker last year in this race, but it was so bad it might be wise to just throw out the effort. Since then he's been flawless in Gr1's including a really strong performance in the Japan Cup, a tough race over a demanding track. I'll be using him as the key exotics horse underneath Curlin, and perhaps also on top. |

![]() i like Vermilion as well to be best of the rest.. looks to be a better horse than last year (same cant be said for Premium Tap) and his prep went according to plan.. he's 6-1 without curlin in the race which is quite attractive.
As impressive as Jalil has been this year, it'll be his 4th run since the 2nd week in February against the toughest field he'll have faced. I just cant have him at half the odds of Vermilion..
