Fair point- and I agree on the longevity/right time thing, but I have a bad feeling THIS year will be even more of a condemnation of the turf division. Seriously- is there ANYONE out there? The 3YOs turfers were mediocre at best, and the older horses couldn't hold EC's jock. Ripe for some Euro imports, really.

Boo.
I don't even get that.
And that last line is ridiculous.

Champs Elysees is the only bright hope, especially with Barclay Tagg getting upset about Showing Up's workouts. At least CE will be able to go up to 1 1/2 miles with no issue.

It would be amazing though if Better Talk Now could pick up another Grade I win.

By the way, I do not think English Channel grabbing any accolade is a condemnation of the turf division. It's been so long since the American turf division was anything special and at least English Channel ran four excellent races in this country then beat the highly acclaimed turf superstar Dylan Thomas handily when it counted.

I love the horse, but he's probably done. His injury is pretty tough to come back from. I wouldn't be surprised to see BTN win another one this year, he's probably the defacto best? Einstein maybe?

Phil, I have met that guy, doesn't look at PP's, only Bris sheets and quite honestly, I was pretty surprised at the bets I heard coming out of his mouth when at Ballys, no where near what you would think.....
