![]() [quote=The Indomitable DrugS]The Pats still have Baltimore in the shadows standing in the way of their perfect 19-0 season....
They should have both of their '06 Pro Bowl corners finally back healthy and effective for that game - and a potentially healthy Chris McAlister will be huge in that game...a 6' foot 2 inch very physical corner who's been to multiple Pro Bowls and has an almost 40 inch vertical leap - he might be the only guy in the league who has half a prayer guarding Moss one-on-one in the redzone. In order to have a chance with Moss in the redzone - you need two fairly high quality players commited to stopping him. If McAlister - who played him as well as anyone before - is up to that tall task....New England's offense won't look nearly as mighty as it has looked all season. Wes Welker will look like the reciever who had a combined one touchdown catch in the three years from '04-to-'06 ... Donte Stallworth will also be accounted for. And - the Pats running game and tight ends won't be highly effective in Baltimore...with that D-line and core of linebackers. Brady will inevitably force a few throws and make a mistake. They will have to settle for a lot of field goals and even a few punts. It could look like the one magical last stand for the Ravens D. The running game of Baltimore could be OK - and if they can get a few big lucky passing plays, score a touchdown on special teams, and score one on defense...they might only lose by 30. Lets face it that this isn't the 2000 super bowl champs Ravens Defense. They are just not that good. But, Everybody is entitled to thier own opinion. Also I just can't envision that KYLE BOLLER is going to be the one that derails the Pats train. |
