Yeah, they did. Myself, I never have understood the attraction of large show wagers.

You can't get 5% interest from your bank for two minutes work; then again the bank doesn't make you run around the block to get it.

Sears taught the boys how to drive last night. Won 6 of the first 10 races on the card.

You think he is better on 1 mile tracks vs 1/2 mile?

What do you think?

I think he is and I believe it has to do with his sesnse of timing. Im glad The Big M has started up. Only harness track I like more is Balmoral.

I sucked bad at the T-Breds then (I still do for the most part), but I would manage to get back the money I lost once the Big B started running.

I like the mile tracks better. Usually 10 horses a races and good payouts. It's all about the trip on the mile tracks and most of the time the best horse doesn't win. They are either parked out (like Donato was on Sat) or they are victim of a bad shuffle (first one minute, and then all of a sudden you are 5th with no where to go). Also no passing lane to bail people out. As far as drivers go, Sears and Pierce are the best 2 at the Big M. Dave Miller gets hot from time to time. And Andy Miller and Gingras (my favorite) seem to hit the board on prices all the time. And whenever Tetrick drives up there, it seems like live.
At the smaller tracks, it seems like there is always one dominate guy, (Bouchard at Yonkers, Manzi at Freehold etc.) They have what I like to call Jerry Bailey syndrome, that's where they could be driving a zebra and still be bet down to 5/2. You would be lucky to get 5/2 with those guys. Manzi always seems to be 3/5 when he is at Freehold, and people are high fiving all over the place when he wins. Drives me crazy! I know it's not fair to say, but sometimes I just get the feel that some of those small track races are rigged. I don't get that feeling at the big tracks.
