Correct me if i'm wrong, but it will be run on Cushion Track next year....... synthetic surface classic, here we come. We will be out in force!

You can say turf turf turf.......... well, okay then....... dirt, dirt, dirt

Come over here an challenge us. Give Royal Ascot a try next year, we will even pay the horses travelling fees. BUT nooooo, there isn't a chance. Poor little horses can't be drugged up over here

My pick right now for the star of 2008 would be Tiago......if he runs.
It is pretty much impossible to predict something like that at this point, but he seems to be improving, and he has a pedigree that seems to indicate he might continue to improve as a 4yo.
Also, most of the horses from his crop that are better than him will be done running three weeks from now.
Add in the fact that the '08 BC is in a favorable location for him, and he seems like a decent choice.

but they sure can over here, which every euro trainer takes full advantage of as soon as the horses arrive.

Ummmm, not every euro trainer does!

Most do to make sure it is a level playing field, why would you give horses what is seen as an unfair advantage?

I don't agree with it, and i think it is the main cause of so many breakdowns.

giving lasix causes breakdowns??

as for suddenly wanting a level playing field, i would still call it hypocritical to complain about drug use, and then use the same things you're complaining about. if you're a purist, why would you suddenly not be because of the opportunity? what, your horse is suddenly a bleeder because he's in the states?

i don't think any aussie horses use either, as i think it would cause problems for them upon returning to their home country.
