The Star of 2008 will be......

some mixed results from last years thread.. Ill take a stab at Zarkava who looked the best juvi filly in europe after her win today and will give the Aga Khan another super filly next year.

I must admit, she looked like a potential star today. I'm just worried about the French form holding up. If i'm honest, i didn't think it was a strong Marcel Boussac today, especially with the fav disappointing (although, i didn't think she was much good anyway).

I'm still holding faith with You'resothrilling, who is certain to appreciate a mile next year and she looks as if she could be an early type.

I haven't seen many of the 2yo races in America, but the filly of Bob Baffert's that won in Santa Anita (i think it was SA) looked pretty decent and i think she will be very good next year.

On dirt....... yeah, Not really a surface we care about.

Just wait until most of your tracks are synthetic. Get ready for a beating. :D

At least we send horses over to challenge..............

I think Fish and Chips will be the star of 2008.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but it will be run on Cushion Track next year....... synthetic surface classic, here we come. We will be out in force!

You can say turf turf turf.......... well, okay then....... dirt, dirt, dirt :p

Come over here an challenge us. Give Royal Ascot a try next year, we will even pay the horses travelling fees. BUT nooooo, there isn't a chance. Poor little horses can't be drugged up over here :p

My pick right now for the star of 2008 would be Tiago......if he runs.
It is pretty much impossible to predict something like that at this point, but he seems to be improving, and he has a pedigree that seems to indicate he might continue to improve as a 4yo.
Also, most of the horses from his crop that are better than him will be done running three weeks from now.
Add in the fact that the '08 BC is in a favorable location for him, and he seems like a decent choice.

hoovesupsideyourhead 10-07-2007 06:36 PM

damn that was cold.... we need a little edge..... you wont hurt us on the carpet.. our 2 year old crop this year will make you stay home and eat haggis.....dreaming of a bc classic win..by the way before you say drugs take a look at your own.... coolmore and darley letting good horses rot and be killed out of spite....your dirty secret..hmmm

Kieron Felon. Guilty until proven innocent. Go Europe!!

The star of 2008 won a G1 today on the tires. She don't need no stinkin' surface, she wins on them all!!!

Well, at least on the dirt when she gets to take on Baroness Thatcher. She'll be lucky to crack the top ten if they put her in the Distaff. Next year she could do well with the BC on the cushion track.

I like this pair.

If not '08, maybe '09.
