Also, $4.6 million yearling Maimonides (2yo son of Vindication, half sibling to El Corredor, Roman Ruler and Silver Tornado) makes his debut in the opening day 2yo MSW race.
Hey, isnt that maimonides yearling named after an ancestor of yours?

No!

While I might fit the stereotype of a Jew....I'm not one of your people.

As you know, I'm Italian and Irish, a mix which has probably been proven to produce the best looking people the planet has ever seen.

And, if it hasn't been officially proven yet, it's only because enough research hasn't been done on the subject.

I wouldn't play the opening day at Del Mar at all. In fact, I don't think I would play the whole first week. Nobody really has any idea how this new surface will play there, and without at least SOME information on the track bias, I think a wait-and-see approach makes the most sense.
Also, what will the relationship be between horses' performances on Hollywood's cushion track and Del Mar's poly? Are they different enough to treat them differently? If so, how differently? We don't know that for certain yet either.
I only like to bet if I feel like I have an advantage over most of the other people betting in terms of information or skill. I don't feel that way here. With all of the unknowns going into the opening week at Del Mar.....betting the races there seems like like a big crapshoot to me.

Agreed! it is probably a good time to be a numerologist. Open day has some good turf races (total of 4). Might take a stab at them.

Good luck to those who play...
