I feel bad for the people who are out there and have to take the LIRR home. It used to be that the final train left 30 minutes after the 9th race, but now they leave at 6:01 on weekdays and 6:13 on weekends, so today people will have to wait almost an hour an a half for a train to leave that no patrons will enter in the final 45 minutes or more. Plus, the conductors take their sweet time leaving the track and often don't even open the doors until ten minutes or so before six.....leaving people out in the heat. I have pretty much stopped going because of this. The only alternative, if you don't have a ride, is to take the 3:47 train home and miss the final three races.

NYRA has pleaded with LIRR to stop this but they simply don't give a sh1t.

Maybe Switzer should launch one of his witch hunts into this.
