Yeah, but the horses that aren't high profile still die in vain. You are correct though... with horses like War Emblem and Silver Charm, they should be safe.

You quoted me...

I said it was a disgrace that failed racehorses were sent to slaughterhouses.

If I'm not mistaken, Seattle Slew was rather partial to grey mares, and was known to have a rather low libido at times. I think he evenutally worked through it though.

Horses talk. Ya just have to listen carefully to understand. Now see after I hose Buck off after our ride, I put him back on the cross ties. I go to my car to put my hat and stuff away. He starts his whinneying. He knows I am coming back with treaties! He is telling me to "Hurry up will ya lady? I was a good boy today so hurry up!"

Horses talk.

Tom Fool had the same problem ...

... 'til one day some tough old mare gave him a swift kick upside the head. That got his attention ... and he did his duty thereafter.

Thank goodness she did ... or we never would have had Buckpasser.

I always knew he was gay ..Seriously, what a shame...I think he was overrated and not sure what he could have really contributed as a stallion, but it is still a shame....that is what Insurance is for...

Cigar being sterile, however, majorly sucked. And he was pretty, too! (Now that he's older, he's "distinguished." )
