When he angled back outside he seemed full of run, closing well but he wasn't catching Scat Daddy. Scat Daddy runs just fast enough to win. I've been on his bandwagon since being at the Sanford and seeing his gutsy win there. Heart and guts wins a lot of races. Dominguez had the right idea, and seemed ready to get first run on Stormello. He seemed more of a victim of racing luck than anything. I think it only cost him second anyway. Scat Daddy raced 3 wide the whole way and seems very likely to get the mile and a 1/4. Go Scat Daddio!
The thing is, Chelokee finishing 3rd instead of 2nd (which we generally concluded he would have finished if he didnt have to check slightly and go around horses) probably costs him a trip to Churchill May 5th because of graded earnings.
