If you like Stormello,you should like Notional even more.While Stormello beat Notional in the futurity,Notional came back and won his next two races,and one of them was outside of Cal,which is a big plus.Stormello,like Lava Man,has not won outside of Cal yet.Off the Polytrack,Notional is undefeated,and looks way better on paper than Stormello.He also has some nice 6 fur.works.And this is coming from someone who does not put a lot of credibility in Cal horses.Your minus for Notional is Robby Albarado,who most here want him to burn in hell.:D {see thread}

I knew he wouldn't be the favorite, and I don't think he will beat Scat Daddy, but I thought he would get a little more play than that...

So, I went to Gulfstream, stayed for one race and bolted to watch the FL derby on TV. Let me tell ya, Gulfstream Park SUCKS on big days. Its so crowded you cant get anything accomplished. no more GP for me on Fl Derby day, which makes me sad cause it used to be my favorite big race day :( :( :(

If anybody else buys the Lava Man/Stormello comparison thing and bets accordingly there stands to be a lot of money made by those that know better, yipes. At least you can guess Stormello's got a chance at being in the money when he leaves the West Coast. There's no indication whatsoever that he's got the same problem as LM. Not like he's my favorite horse or anything but gotta stand up for him here. He's more viable out of Cal than Lava Man from my view.

I like Street Sense, Great Hunter and Any Given Saturday even more after this less than stirring rendition of the FLA Derby.

Don't think the Derby winner ran today, Scat Daddy looked good though.

For those of us unlucky enough not to be able to watch the race, WHO THE HELL WON!?!?!?!?!?!?!? 2nd??? 3rd????????
