OK, we heard you about Godolphin being on an ofer. We understand this is your built in excuse should the unthinkable happen.

Impossible Ski is the best chance for South Americans to do something

Alysia in the sprint would be dangerous

I'm not so sure you can dismiss anything that this man sends out though.

As he's been terrorizing the trainer standings in Dubai all winter long. And his entrant in the race, Imperialista scored a 25/1 upset win, beating Impossible Sky in round 1 of the Maktoum challenge.

Mohammed was just 2-for-66 (and 21% In the money) at the Dubai meet, over this decade. This year, He's 12-for-63 and 43% in the money.

You know I'm having a little fun with it.

But you also know such things can be valid. When Ghostzapper lost in the King's Bishop, to a pair of very inferior horses, Bobby Frankel's barn was similarly ice cold--and could not buy a win for a stretch of time.

What Ghostzapper's effort really showed was how random these supposed cold streaks can be as in actuality he won that race by about five lengths. Or, perhaps you want to suggest that had Frankel been winning there wouldn't have been a bias that day AND Ghostzapper wouldn't have been shuffled and wide?

You are so excited about Thursday that you're coming apart at the seams.

Discreet Cat's half brother won an allowance race on that same card, at the same distance, that was run in faster final time than that King's Bishop.

And yeah, I'm seeing a trend where you seem to label the vast majority of race tracks speed biased on big racing days. Ghostzapper had a very tough trip in the race, and yeah speed was probably preferred, but he also got a lot of pace, and simply did not run as good that day as any of his other career wins in my opinion. Perhaps the effort might have been slightly better than his sharp alw win over Clockstopper earlier in the meet.

Ten Most Wanted won the Travers that year, with complete ease, while making a wide swooping move from well off the pace. The day's opener was won by a deep closer. I don't remember all the details of that day, but I do remember I didn't have the track being strongly speed biased.

Even with trip and circumstances factored in, of course Ghostzapper ran markedly better in every start of his career after that King's Bishop. That was an EXTREMELY low rated running of the King's Bishop, and the pace was certainly there for him.

Obviously just kidding on the exchange rate... I remembered the Northern Hemisphere v. Southern Hemisphere distinction from last year.

Whatever happened with Simpatico Bribon; wasn't he actually the favorite in the UAE Derby last year?

Yes he was.

Like many horses who go to Ian Jory, he hasn't been seen or heard from since

Not familiar with Ian Jory; sounds like a real winner though...

He was like 312948925 wide and had to check on the turn, and was about the only runner that day that made any progress from off the pace. That's why he lost. I bet a boatload of money on him that day and felt ill that he didn't win because he was so tons the best it was scary (I think we all know that now). He galloped out 10 lengths in front...

Valid Video never came back well from his injury but he was a top quality 3YO sprinter when he won that race. To call him mediocre is unfair.

DAY PASS who is undefeated and has been switched to Godolphin also runs Thursday night. I believe he won the Nashau at Acqueduct. He is using his race as a prep for the UAE Derby. Thor's Echo also runs. Three horses who ran in America last year will be in three different races on Thursday night so be sure to check the results.

Also Day Pass PP's are included in that "Derby Contender" pile of PP's

If JALAAL beats Discreet Cat, I know one poster who shall become suicidal.

Have fun Gotodubai!

Day Pass will have to be very very good to win his reappearance race. Asiatic Boy,

cant wait to see Imperial Stride back. If he can get near his best, he's one of the best 12f horses in the world. Also Best Name and Best Alibi who could develop into serious horses this season.
