Hard to Explain. Here's a snippet review.
In the remote sands of the Moroccan desert, a rifle shot rings out -- detonating a chain of events that will link an American tourist couple's frantic struggle to survive, two Moroccan boys involved in an accidental crime, a nanny illegally crossing into Mexico with two American children and a Japanese teen rebel whose father is sought by the police in Tokyo. |

No, very serious....Compare it to a movie like 21 Grams or Crash. Lots of things going on....Worth seeing, but hard to watch. I get affected by tough movies like that.

Yes it is a very good movie. I especially enjoyed the way that the stories were all linked, but they did not make the connections ridiculous.
The various plots were all realistically interwoven and did not overly rely on coincidence to push along the plot. That, along with solid acting performances made it a good movie. My two favorites from this year however, are still Little Miss Sunshine and Little Children. |
