You can say that again. I had a 60-1 that did absolutely nothing wrong.
Pat Day acted surprised to see the horse sweeping wide on the turn and that was it. Not a ding dong thing wrong. Never took 1 improper step. They showed replay after replay of my horse doing nothing wrong and then took him down.

Odds make all the difference in the world and the jockey too. One time Guidry acted like he was cut off when the horse was no where near him. He couldn't win it fair and square so he took it via and acting job.

I have to agree with Gander. They get on the phone ask everyone of their buddies if they need any help and they get it.
