I agree. I doubt I’ll ever fully stop playing but this year, with the breeders cup being the cherry on top, has made me question why I still seriously play this game. I feel like I need to go back to the drawing board....its one thing to have a bad year (was far from my worst)....but in the wake of the Servis/Navarro sting I really thought we’d see a scared straight colony. Yet we still see flaws, unexplainable events/horses and then you hear Baffert stumble through an interview...Brad Cox horses performing like Servis horses left and right. I’m a firm believer in innocent until proven guilty and I obviously have no evidence of foul play but I’m also not a complete idiot. It’s clear that this game currently has some unfair advantages. I have no idea who is cheating, who is not...who the great trainers are and who the fakers are. I have some ideas of my own but where does that leave a horse player like me?

I’ve grown skeptical of trainers I used to defend. I’ve grown skeptical of a game I’ve always defended. I’ve seen some really positive growth in the sport of late...technology has brought many positives...podcasts, Twitter, etc give more information/data. Mobile wagering...increased interest since COVID from degens looking for something to bet on....but it just feels like we need make some positive changes, and fast
