Don't know how that happened - I thought that I'd done horribly. Could feel RQ breathing down my neck as the wire approached - another race and I'm sure he would have used his closing kick to move to the front.

Plen, thank you very much for scoring efforts way beyond the call of duty. I hope that the vodka lasted. I promise to have many fewer races this Saturday - suspect we could all use something a little less time consuming.

I'm tired of finishing 2,3 and 4. Actually I'm just tired. Come on college football and mostly come on my Clemson Tigers to give me something to cheer for in sports and feel good about. Now that said, I may have just jinxed them this year.

After entering my picks here, I looked at each race as it happened and called a couple of longshots, but didn't really bet. Then the derby came up and I decided to place a bet on Mr Big News to show....not really a great bet usually, but he paid $16.80! So I had my little victory for the day. Hope everyone else had fun too!
