Good to hear that someone did well. It was an entertaining and distracting day, even though I didn't win so I'll file it away in memory and try to learn from it, although that seldom seems to happen, but after all it is one of the hardest puzzles to solve from year to year so I guess all of us that lost will have to forgive ourselves and move on to the next challenge with hopefully, a better outcome. Breeder's Cup is looming in the distance and will be here before we know it and we will have another chance to redeem ourselves ....or not!

In between now and the Breeders' Cup, we also will be able to grapple with the Preakness, although I'm not sure how the quarantine restrictions in Maryland will affect trainer decisions and jockey assignments. It doesn't appear that we will see a rematch between Tiz and Authentic.

Hard to know what happened to Tiz in the Derby. Maybe he just got beat by a better horse or he just didn't like Churchill. Raw fractions seem to indicate the Derby was a faster race than the Travers for which I think Tiz got a 115 beyer which I think is the fastest race by a 3 year old going into the Derby in recent memory so you would think he would have won easily and of course that was reflected in his odds, but they aren't machines and maybe he just needs a break. Be that as it may, I don't think anybody should look forward to facing Maximum Security, if he goes in the Classic. All this to say, I think if I were the connections of Tiz I might consider going in the Preakness and a rematch with Authentic, if that one goes in the Preakness.
