Can't tell you how happy it made me to see the Rangers make a point of being physical with Tyler Johnson from puck drop. Add to that Nash & Marty scoring 3 goals and a lot of sh!t that should've been happening all series finally got done.

As a huge Hawks fan I'm not sure my heart can take much more of this...

The Rangers finally showed up. Their defense finally figured out that they needed to take the middle away and Tampa could not react. Bishop is off - I don't know if it an injury or what, but the last 2 games he has been dreadful.

In stark contrast, Lundqvist stops 38 shots (though admittedly, the NYR D had a lot to do with the fact that most of these shots were feeble, "throw it at the goal and hope for a rebound" shots.

Neutral zone turn overs are the bane for each team thus far - the team that can control the neutral zone has a heavy advantage.

Tied series boys, anything can happen here

Rangers are playing a very dangerous brand of hockey through 1 period. Over-pursuing offensively, trying to create something.. If Tampa is patient, NYR will fall right into the trap.

Bob. yes -it's essentially a poor man's version of the East Coast final - the Ducks are a subpar Lightning team, and the Blackhawks are a subpar Ranger team.

It's cute and entertaining and all, but c'mon....we're watching the Stanley Cup right now...

Boom. Truth be told, Lundqvist should have stopped that one. Clear view of the puck, no excuse. 1-0 Lightning.

He had one game where he didn't give up 4+ goals, or leaked the winner. So, besides that ONE GAME...Yes he is a sieve. We should still be playing 1-1 cuz he should have stopped Stamkos' goal. There isn't a goalie in the NHL that wouldn't have stopped that shot.

So......Sieve, Colander, overfull Depends....whatever analogy works for you, he leaks vociferously - and has cost your team the opportunity, on 2 occasions, to close this out.

They need to play back and let the game come to them. They forced too much tonight and got pinched. And they need a new goalie. He killed you again tonight, and now you are 1 and done. In Tampa. Oooofffff...

I hope you're right. But the fact of the matter is, the Garden ice was HORRENDOUS last night. Puck bouncing all over the place. Which gave the team that scored first a huge advantage.

Agree - If the Rangers can get back to playing the trap-style neutral zone D, and take away the middle of the ice from Tampa's O, they can win. They were full out over pursuing from the drop of the puck last night and it burnt them.

Have ended my period of mourning, and intentionally put on a hockey game for the first time in almost two weeks
A few years back during the strike, I was dying for hockey and actually put on a college game just to get my fix.

Word that was super scary until the 3rd period when the team that has danced these dances before clowned the Florida team that some people watch while waiting for the storm to pass.

Anything can happen but we just hung 7 on you and ran your goalie and now he has to come into MSG and beat Hank in a Game 7. God bless?

Dominating performance, top to bottom. Jumped on top early, controlled the neutral zone, caused turnovers in their offensive end and didn't let up.

A great confidence builder for Lundqvist and a great game to completely forget about on all sides of the puck for the Lightning. It isn't like we haven't seen this movie before...

The Rangers finally showed up. You need to hope they didn't get themselves a little too over-confident last night. It isn't like Tampa hasn't owned them in their building before or anything.
