Congrats.

I have to share this with you...I believe I know now that grandkids are the best thing in the world. I never had kids so this is an observation.

I just lost my brother last week to Alzheimers. He was 66. My brother had only one child, my niece who is now 37. My niece has two boys, 10 and 7. My brother ADORED those two boys.

At the funeral service my niece spoke. She said that the two greatest days of her fathers life were the birth of his two grandsons. I started wondering when she said that. Why was her birth not the greatest day of his life?

I think us humans instinctively know when looking into the eyes of our grandchildren that we did what we were supposed to do. We carried on and ensured the well being of two more generations. We can rest now and enjoy those little ones. We did it. Kinda like making it across the finish line in one piece.

Lucky you to have a grandchild on the way. Keep us posted.
