I think the quality of competition category needs to be tweaked. I think CC is the best horse, but if he loses it will be more of the competition being fresher and more well rested than it is their actual quality.


I actually had the pleasure of meeting Victor this morning. I'll be the first to admit that I've never been his biggest fan, but I was blown away on what a nice guy he was. He seems relaxed and is just enjoying every moment on this whirlwind journey. I hope he gets it done.

I'm also worried about the break. Was there in 2002 when War Emblem was going for it. You could hear a pin drop in that place when Sarava won.

When crop sizes shrink, it's typically not the Distorted Humors, Giants Causeways, Tapits, etc that disappear. It's the Lucky Pulpits.

So yeah, while CC has less to deal with in the crop, he's also going to be facing a higher percentage of well bred sorts, with less chaff.
