i think discussing this anonymously brings us far closer to the truth of peoples' feelings on the matter.
as for how martin should have handled it. the team management told these players to toughen up martin; martin was to single-handedly handle being bullied, when the bully(s) were acting at the behest of management? that's a laugh.
if the coach wanted martin to be more of a team player, perhaps he should have discussed it with martin, rather than turning him over to a mob.
3kings, i get your point-to a point. but this isn't just a case of a bully and a victim-it's a case of the total culture of that team, it's management, its players. you think martin was supposed to single-handedly take on not just a player who was using racial slurs, and making threats but the people who told him to take that action?
