The Republicans' heads are gonna explode. The two parties are so far apart, idealogically. He's certainly outlining Democratic principles far more strongly than he has done recently.

we'll have $5/gal gas summer of 2012 just in time for the election. but this summer gas will cost less memorial day than it does on easter. see if i'm wrong.

and btw: "$5 dollar" is as redundant as reading your posts after watching fox.

Maybe one day it won't be so redundant and we will start harvesting our own oil. To think of the green house gases that would be saved if oil was pumped, refined and transported via pipe here instead of shipping it over from half way around the world. Not to mention the benefit of no longer supporting our Muslim enemies. Works for both sides of the aisle so why the infinite delay?

I see "PAPER: OBAMA SPEECH 'DISHONEST'..." which links to a freakin Op-Ed piece. Can you provide a link to the the "Most Dishonest in Decades!" or is that you embellishing a bit? Also another question I am really curious about. You mentioned previously that you collected SSI. I'm trying to understand how someone collecting an entitlement would side with the party that wants to eliminate entitlements. I can't wrap my arms around that.

I believe it's called having a conscience.

As in you know you are taking someone else's money but do so for survival.

It was the lead headline on Drudge last night!

I don't believe that the GOP want to eliminate entitlements. I think this mostly cannon fodder for the press. Also, I dont think SSDI is an entitlement per se.

not begrudging you anything but if ssdi isn't an entitlement, what do you define as one?

Timm, c'mon - eliminating entitlements is a basic Republican tenant currently. The core of the Republican Party right now is to privatize and thus eliminate Medicare, Medicaid (that is contained in the current Ryan budget proposal) and they'd love to get rid of Social Security and replace it with private accounts (tried in the past, will be tried again in the future)
