Well, to be fair, they knew there would be stretches this meet where the box would be lean. Martin Panza had those great Turf Festival/Thanksgiving cards, and is likely more focused on the last couple of big weekends. Today is a really fun group of races and though the fields aren't stacked, Thurs/Fri races aren't bad with pretty well-matched groups of 7-8. There's just 9-10 days left to the meet.

To add insult to injury, they are expecting rain on Saturday (one more reason they can't fill) and O'Neil has already said there is no way that Lava Man will go in the Native Diver if the track is off.


On the bright side, expecting 77 degrees and sunny for opening day at Tampa

They should get rid of wednesday (possibly thursday too) racing altogther.

Is the Native Diver turf? Cause I dont think poly is allowed to be "off"?

Hollywood park is not poly or Cushion track anymore, they have been adding sand and dirt for the last 2 years.
