This is a bittersweet day for me, actually. I'm going to change the motor oil in my truck.
That's the Sweet part. The Bitter - I must part with a dear old friend. A friend who has been with me through thick and thin, a friend that has been in the past, as flexible and helpful, endearing and stylish as one could possibly be - much to the envy of all who have enjoyed my friends company. He stands singularly as a symbol of freedom; a symbol of burning faith, and the last and final bastion of bachelorhood. Perhaps this is what inspired me to recall Thunder Road this morning. For it is this day, after I change mah motor oil - that I must Take mah futon to the dump   |
