Few quotes? Former? You didn't even read the article? Or you are purposely ignoring half of it? You're ignoring the quotes from Sen. Lugar, the current ranking Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee? Let's read that again:

In particular, Lugar, the ranking GOP member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has blasted his own party for relentlessly blocking ratification of the New START nuclear arms treaty with Russia, calling on his fellow GOP senators to “do your duty for your country” and complete the pact.

My assessment is based upon the factual performance of the Republican party over the past two years - the repeated, unending blocking of routine business with filibuster, blocking motion after motion, blocking debate, the complete failure to compromise in the least. It's no secret. You can read it on the Senate website.

Unless you want to pretend it's all a false creation of a "liberal" website.
