Obama continues to make history as he manages to alienate one of his party's most loyal factions. Change! |

![]() For a district who NEVER elected a Republican to congress EVER this is a huge statement against Obama, his failed programs and specifically his stance against Israel and for anything Arab.
He came into office preaching the great accomplishments and inventions of the Arab world (mostly lies and half-truths) and now he can go out knowing he tried to make the Arab world free, even going so far as becoming their friend and financial supporter. While he should have been focused on the US economy and jobs he was on a worldwide tour handing out our money. While asking for more tax dollars he was financing a solar panel company with no business plan and despite being subsidized, failed miserably. While the country cries for oil independence, specifically from the Arab world, he has shut down and denied every plan that would pursue it. His wife, who experienced pride in America for the first time in her mid 30's, and he should realize 'their America' is something completely foreign to the 'average American' who has had pride in his/her country all their life. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out. |

![]() This seat has always been Democratic, but you can't ignore the difference between the two districts involved, the results of the most recent Presidential in these two districts, and why that happened. "Democratic and Republican" matters less than other influences in one of these districts. Brooklyn and Queens are two entirely different areas, with different base voters that vote for different reasons historically. The results of this election (the marked difference between Brooklyn and Queens) isn't really any surprise at the local level. It has little to do with any "referendum" on Obama, and more towards Brooklyn voting as it usually is predicted to.
U.S. House - District 9 - Special General County Precincts David Weprin (Dem) Bob Turner (GOP) C. Hoeppner (SWP) Total 472/512 29,689 47% 33,816 53% 278 0% Brooklyn 147/170 6,121 33% 12,584 67% 29 0% Queens 325/342 23,568 52% 21,232 47% 249 1% This district is eliminated in the next election, btw, anyway.

Ed Koch openly campaigned for the Republican Turner and made it no secret that he did so in opposition to Obama's policies and in hope of waking up the Democratic party. This district has Democrats outnumbering Republicans 3 to 1. Even Democrats have had enough of Obama! This is truly change that we can believe in! |

![]() ![]() BTW, what do you think of the six Democratic assemblymen elected? Pretty strong anti-Obama message sent there, right? By the very same folks that elected the GOP Congressman and sent ... well, a different message. But both are about Obama! Yeah, that makes sense.
