My sincerest most heartfelt apologies I missed beating datruths post by the same amount of time that it took chrome to lose the race and Coburn to reveal his true character sorry I ran second

The real issue is whether or not you started a thread about owner behavior after the Derby or the Preakness. If you did not, posting about it after the Belmont is just the coward's way out.

Starting a thread after the Peter Pan to prepare for the Belmont ought not be allowed. We're never gonna see another Triple Crown in our lifetime if you're allowed to do stuff like that.

Speaking of whining...slap me if I ever make a betting judgement on the basis of a morning workout, again:

Quote:
11. Tonalist: Impressive winner in the local prep for this race. I was committed to selecting this horse to win, until he turned in an extremely unimpressive final workout and drew the extreme outside post position.

Selections:

1st: Wicked Strong
2nd: Tonalist
3rd: California Chrome
A great pitfall handicappers have to overcome, in this area, is that they have no video of the other in-company works that said horse has had.

Obviously, Life In Shambles is no stellar work horse, or he wouldn't have debuted for a tag...yet he obviously got the better of Tonalist in their final workout.

Seeing Tonalist's final work was a huge psych-out for me...and I've been a sulky bitch about it ever since the race finished.

The work bothered me a little bit but they said those two horses worked together before the Peter Pan and that Life in Shambles outworked him before the Peter Pan too. When I heard that, then the last work didn't bother me nearly as much.

Too much info syndrom. He was lucky to get up whether he was the best horse or not. You can't beat yourself up over it.

We're wondering how many Peter Pan winners that have won the Belmont since Affirmed.Coastal? Conquistador Cielo? Summing? Cant think... been drinking white carnations... The owner of CC has to get a grip...that was so embarrasing... completely spoiled the day. Can't wait till the next chance.

Do you have stats or have you posted previously how many triple crown winners and the percentage of horses that ran against them in all three legs? Im sure the percentage was higher going back many years.

I thought the sponsor Victor Espinoza was wearing was quite odd: "Call 811" http://www.call811.com/default.aspx
and coincidentally were the same numbers to finish 1-2 in the Belmont Stakes.

Cogburn should have called before he dug himself into a hole.

I'm sick of all the workout deconstruction and back stretch chatter. "This one has sore feet, that one didn't gallop out.....blah, blah" The tweets, the report cards, the micro analysis. Too much information is right. Either a horse has talent or not so much.
