![]() Why? Amazing how you can make a comment about a Hall Fame trainer that has done incredible good for the sport. Not his fault he was dealt a one horse wonder...

![]() Video: Mine That Bird’s retirement ceremony
http://blogs.courier-journal.com/rac...ment-ceremony/ He looks very fit and ready to go. We watched him leaving the Paddock at the BC, and were struck by how good he appeared, and for a brief moment thought he might show some spark. I hope he eventually finds his way to the KHP. So long, MTB. |

![]() He ran a tremendous Derby, a very respectable 2nd to Rachel in the Preakness (a very exciting race), and was a very close 3rd to Dunkirk in the Belmont. Fair to say that had he not been a gelding he may have been retired to stud at 3, and would have garnered more respect and been held in higher esteem, but such was not his fortune. Each time I looked forward to his races this year was ultimately a disappointment. But to watch him in the paddock and in training you'd never know it.
Ain't it the truth. I just feel he has more to offer in some capacity, and hope he gets a chance to shine again. Last edited by OldDog : 12-02-2010 at 02:04 PM. |

![]() I have to thank you cause I really did want to see this but then got busy, too lazy to look for it, all kinds of excuses. This horse... it's funny cause I wasn't a fan or anything and sure as hell didn't have him in the Derby but the more time that goes by... he just has this endearing quality. I wish him a long, happy and healthy life and yes I agree I hope he ends up there. |

![]() FWIW, D Wayne probably wins the Sprint if Pashito The Che breaks alertly and pressures Big Drama, as the race was likely to unfold.
