With all six winners somewhere in selections, made a sincere run at Wednesday’s Santa Anita carryover stringing 2nd-5th legs together successfully on the play. But winners of the bookend 1st and 6th legs were at the bottom of the tabs and off the play, as Gutierrez nightcap price frustratingly denied even a conso hit or P4 score (live to 3 horses paying $150-$350).

It was one of those sequences where even with an obvious single in Canonize ($3.60 as 4-5 fave), the 2 second choice ($8.00, $10.00) and 2 third choice ($8.80, $9.40) winners combined with the 5th choice upsetter ($17.60) to make negotiating the sextet challenging. But the challenge was rewarded with $42,475 returns. Hope you did OK! Another P6 carryover today though ($74,550), and this one also seems approachable.
