Gomez has had some rough trips with that horse....will be a good price I would imagine in Ky, like 5/1 or so.

Were they running on turf out there today? Just seemed like a strangely run race.

You want a better more recent example on wraps with 3yr olds and Pletch? Look at Bluegrass Cat's PPs....Wraps came on and whiff, gone.

So we should plan on a career-ending injury and then you can take credit for forecasting it?

Not at all....Want another, first time Sun King ever wore wraps was for a money allowance at Toga. Saw him in the Paddock, ouchy mess, finished 4th and was gone....Again, who the trainer is and their style is what matters.

B/c I point things out? I wouldn't wish an injury on any horse.

He did the same thing to Americn Lion in the San Felipe. The guy's got to realize he's not riding on turf every race.

I think he might be better then that odds wise, hoping for 7 or 8/1, at least I hope he is, will be my key horse on Derby Day as long as he doesn't get post 1-2-3 or 19-20.

Problem is that everyone saw that trip.

I think he is a dirt horse so I agree. And I think you will get 8-1.

The fractions were slow 1:13 and change. If Esky is 10 back of Lion, Sydney, Rule and possibly Super Saver does he finish just as strong.

"Eskendereya wore front bandages for the first time as a precaution. Pletcher said one of his horses earlier on the card burned his heels in the race, so he put front bandages on all his stakes horses Saturday, including Nite Light and Munnings, who both lost."

Awesome Act, as evidenced by the Gotham, has a short burst of speed, and the ride hardly cost him second money. Maybe the pace did....but more likely it was his distance limitations.....or relative lack of talent. Jackson Bend ran MUCH better than he did.

Jackson Bend is a tough, honest little SOB. He could clean up in a Gr. II career.
