I think that's true in Brooklyn (Queens obviously went for Obama on the Congressional level, if you think this was an Obama referendum Queens refutes it).

The interesting thing is: list the quantitative differences between Obama's and Bush the Lesser's actions and statements on Israel.

Perception and reality are not always equivalent.
