I don't know about anything that Lyons has said in the past, but what he said the other day was no big deal at all. He was making a joke. I thought it was funny. All the guys in the booth were laughing. Not only was it a joke, but who did he insult? He didn't say anything bad. He made a joke about Piniella butchering the spanish language and stealing his wallet. The only one he came close to insulting was Piniella and I'm sure that Piniella wasn't insulted at all. Piniella was laughing. Lyons was amking a joke. I can't believe that he got fired over this. It is ridiculous.

Rupert: Lyons' biggest 'fax paus' came when he made fun of a blind man wearing speciall digital headgear for watching the game. He apologised profusely after the incident, but I think that was the 'bananna peel' that started the slide....
