![]() My uncle was the one who got me into racing and his uncle was the one that got him into racing. I've tried to get my friends and family into it but no luck. They prefer other forms of gambling or not.
I'm not sure about the complaint about track meets. Florida is the only state that has 2 thoroughbred tracks running at the same time. I agree there are too many races that reduce field size. The best thing to ever happen to racing is the ADWs. Betting online from the comfort of my own home is great. The biggest downside to horse playing is the tax laws. Completely against horse players. Slot players don't have to sign until they hit $1,200. I've already paid taxes on this money and they take money out of the pools.
